The first Hulk or the last Fulk?

Memmy is obviously growing up.  Just now he pulled out the “Incredible Hulk” lunchbox that has been passed from Bubby to Lucy to him.  He said, “This is just one of my Hulk toys.  I have two Hulk toys!”  I noticed immediately that he is really growing – He said “Hulk” instead of “Fulk.”  It reminds of a point that a friend made to me once – it’s not always the “firsts” in your children’s lives that are worth remembering; it is also the “lasts.”  If only we could cherish them for what they are – as we’ll never be sure if each little moment is the last last time…

  1. But isn’t it great you caught this last? I still wish I would have noticed the exact day Eli switched from “E-yuh” to “Eva.” 🙂

This is such a great post! There are many “lasts” that I know I missed.
